Thanksgiving Week Garbage Pick-Up

Garbage pick-up will be on Friday this week due to Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Placement of Garbage Carts

Speedy Dump has requested that we notify all customers that garbage carts need to be placed 4 feet from anything that might create a barrier to the arm of the truck that picks up the cart. This includes, mailboxes, sign posts, parked vehicles etc. Thank you for your cooperation.
Mosquito Spraying

Mosquito spraying will take place at approximately 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 18th. Any special requests for notification please call: 515-546-6301. Please keep all alleys clear.
Garbage Carts

Speedy Dump will be dropping off garbage carts at residences on Thursday afternoon, June 27th. If you are a family account yours will be 96 gallons and if you're a single account yours will be a smaller 64 gallon cart.

Garbage Changes

The City of Badger will be welcoming Speedy Dump as our new garbage and recycling contractor on July 1st. The previous vendor’s contract with the city was up and their recycling rates were also increasing.
Street Repair-5th Street SE

Blacktop Service will be doing asphalt resurfacing on 5th Street SE beginning April 29th. Access to driveways will be compromised while work is being done. Do not park vehicles on the street beginning Monday morning prior to start of work, or until after work is completed and road is opened again. Thank you.
Road Closure-April 2, 2024 to August 12, 2024

Starting Tuesday April 2nd P59 (Paragon Ave), also known as the Badger blacktop from 170th St to 120th St will be closed to through traffic to accommodate the Badger Trail Project.
The closure is expected to last until mid-August. 140th St and 150th St at the intersection of P59 will also be closed to through traffic.
Detour Route from the intersection of P59 (Paragon Ave) and D14 (170th St), West on D14 (170th St) to P56 (Nelson Ave), North on P56 (Nelson Ave) to C56 (120th St) to the intersection of P59 (Paragon Ave) and C56 (120th St).
Solider Creek Winery is still going to be accessible via the Badger blacktop (Paragon Ave) only traveling NORTH on the Badger blacktop (Paragon Ave).
